Markos Vassiliou (born in Limassol, Cyprus), is a Greek/Lebanese drummer based in Berlin, Germany.

 

Took up drumming in the teenage years. Markos also attended Audio Visual Arts at AUT, Music at USEK and Professional Drums Training at Drumtrainer Berlin. Vassiliou began working his way through the Lebanese Pop, Rock, Reggae, Funk, Country, Oriental and Jazz scenes. In addition to his work as a session musician and recording artist, he drummed with many groups like Rasta Beirut, OST+FRONT, Musiqana, Raymond Nassif Orchestra, Communion, The Void, The Good Ol’ Boys, Blakyum, Haifa Wehbe, Yuri Murakadi, Ziyad Sahhab, Abbas Chahine, Art Beat bands, The Johns Jazz, and many others where he garnered positive reviews among the years.

As an educator, Markos taught the drums for 8 consecutive years at Mozart Chahine School of Music (Lebanon) & Modern Music School (Germany), where his students are now known bands members, and some of them became drum teachers themselves.
