Offering private lessons in German, English, French or Arabic in my drum room in Britz Neukölln, Berlin & online for beginners & advanced drummers. Professional acoustic drums & cymbals along with practice pads are always set & ready for lessons in the room.
With over 15 years of teaching drums experience in various schools and privately, I have developed my own teaching approach combining the German, French and American methodologies.
Topics during lessons:
- Groove, basic & advanced rhythms.
- Technique, developing muscle memory to use the correct hand & foot technique at the right time.
- Rudiments, every drummer should learn the 26 basic rudiments. There are much more hybrids and combinations along with feet Ostinatoes.
- Independence, 4 way control on the kit.
- Drum Notation/Theory, just like reading and writing in any language.
- Sight & Sheet Reading, in order to be able to play with a band/big band.
- Comping, for independence & faster reading.
- Styles, funk, rock, jazz, reggae, afro-cuban, pop, oriental… the list goes on.
- Posture, for correct playing without any injuries.
- Play-alongs, a lot is learned here, and some fun is always good.
